Coaching: Girls
Born and raised in San Diego, Sien Gallop is immersed in the volleyball community. She grew up watching her sister play volleyball at COAST and quickly fell in love with everything and anything volleyball. She played at Francis Parker School in Linda Vista and led the team to three state championships then continued her career at Saint Louis University in Missouri. There she received many awards such as; aces per set leader in all divisions of NCAA, A10 first team all conference twice, and all academic team.Â
Sien Gallop is pursuing her teaching credentials and will soon be a preschool teacher. She loves teaching whether it is on the court or in a classroom. Her passions have taught her that every kid is unique and brings something different to the table. She loves encouraging them to be the best they can be in every aspect of life.Â
In practices she challenges players to have an elite mindset which means that everything you do before, during and after practice has a purpose and to be the best you have to think/prepare like the best. She believes that every player deserves the opportunity to see what their potential is.
Currently, she is the assistant coach at Francis Parker School and has coached them to the CIF finals twice and to state. Throughout the season she has encouraged her players to challenge themselves mentally and physically. She believes in showing them that by being challenged and moving outside of your comfort zone allows for huge growth.Â
In her free time she loves taking her great dane to the beach, going on hikes, doing yoga, and reading.
