Coaching: Girls
Luis discovered his passion for volleyball in 8th grade while playing in a coed league, where he served 20 balls in a row and instantly fell in love with the sport. He generously shares his knowledge and experience by coaching beach clinics in San Diego and has also coached a year for Starlings indoor volleyball club. With 13 years of volleyball expertise, Luis continues to excel in the sport he loves while making a positive impact in the volleyball community.
Luis attended John Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA where he played on the indoor team for 4 years. He specialized as a defensive and serving expert. His talent and dedication contributed to his team’s success, winning league championships during his 2 years in varsity. In their final year, they made it to the CIF Division 3 finals and even played in a CIF State game.
Luis moved to SD in 2011 to attend UCSD and graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology. He currently works as a Scientist at Pfizer.
In his free time, Luis immerses himself in beach volleyball, achieving an impressive AA rating at Ocean Beach last year.
