Erin started playing volleyball at the age of 12 in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. Since starting she has played 7 years of club volleyball, 4 of which were at the open level resulting in a top 10 Open finish at Junior Nationals with Club One Volleyball. In addition to club volleyball, Erin participated in High Performance and Junior Olympic select programs.Â
Her volleyball career continued when she committed to play NCAA Division-1 volleyball at Grand Canyon University. Throughout her collegiate career, she was a 6 rotation pin hitter. Unfortunately, Erin’s collegiate career came to an end due to injuries which gave Erin a new perspective on the sport.Â
After graduating with a degree in sports management and pre-law, she started her coaching career in Phoenix, Arizona with Livewire volleyball club and will be starting her second year coaching here at COAST. Erin’s coaching philosophy is to teach players the values of respect, resilience, empathy, teamwork and sportsmanship that will benefit them long after their athletic days are over. She believes that doing the small things on and off of the court is what makes the biggest difference and having a strong mental game will propel them forward in their game.Â
In addition to coaching, you will find Erin spending time with her husband Jordan either surfing, mountain biking, free-diving, or playing beach volleyball!
