Sydney Bennett
Sydney’s love for coaching began at a young age as she helped lead developmental clinics and assist practices in her hometown. She began her volleyball career at the age of 9, and quickly became consumed with the sport. She can still remember her first volleyball coach and the hours spent perfecting little skills that would later become muscle memory. Â
Following graduation from the University of Missouri, Sydney moved to the west COAST and joined the COAST family. She truly believes you can never stop learning and loves how COAST Volleyball Club provides a mentorship atmosphere with young coaches. This passion to learn has led her to coach alongside a number of great coaches at COAST.Â
At COAST you will find her running developmental clinics, assisting teams, and head coaching. In addition, during the fall months she keeps busy assisting Luis Cuatok with Varsity at Canyon Crest Academy.Â
Besides the knowledge of volleyball, Sydney looks to bring excitement to every practice, tournament or clinic she is a part of. She hopes her energy will inspire her players and spark a love for the game. Â
When not coaching, Sydney works for a public relations agency in San Diego. She keeps herself busy, but in her down time she can be found playing pickup games of volleyball, traveling to the mountains, or enjoying sunny San Diego.Â
