At the end of Ahzi’s 18’s club season, her team took home the Bronze
Medal at the 2013 Junior Olympics in Dallas. She then went on to play the next four years for
the University of Massachusetts Lowell on a full-ride Division 1 scholarship. She received her
Bachelor’s Degree with a dual major in International Business and Marketing.
After graduating from UMass Lowell, Ahzi took the opportunity to play overseas in the
United Kingdom. She continued her education and volleyball career, playing for the University
of Nottingham’s indoor and beach team as well as Volleyball England’s National League. She
officially graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2020, receiving her Masters Degree in
International Social Policy.
She spent the last year working for our nation’s capitol in Washington, DC, under the
United States House of Representatives.
Ahzi’s passion has always been volleyball and she values the opportunities the sport has
presented in her life.
In past summers, Ahzi has coached for Starlings Volleyball Club, as well as Fury Beach
Volleyball Club. While in Massachusetts, she would work as an assistant coach for the New
England Puma Volleyball Club as well as assist at summer camps at UMass Lowell.
