Born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil, Caroline has been involved with volleyball for 16 years. Inspired by her Olympic Bronze Medalist aunt Ericleia Bodziak, Caroline started to play at the young age of 7 in a project Centro Rexona developed by Bernado de Rezende, Bernardinho.
She played club from middle school through high school under Tatiana Ribas at Circulo Militar Club where she took part in the adult team since she was 16 years old. During her career in the club, Caroline has earned several awards marking accomplishments on international tournaments and state leagues.
In order to pursue her passion for the sport, Caroline moved to USA in 2015; starting her journey at Trinity Valley Community College. Caroline played as an Outside, Right Side, and Middle. As a sophomore Caroline was named female leadership of the year. To compete in NCAA division, Caroline transferred to Fresno Pacific University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
After graduating she continued to be involved with volleyball by assisting the Fresno Pacific University Volleyball 2019-2020 team. Caroline also assisted the volleyball Camps 2018-2019 and was also the Head Coach at Sanger Volleyball Club 2018-2019.
As a coach, Caroline seeks to create an exciting and competitive environment where athletes can have fun while being challenged to be the best version of themselves; as an athlete and as a person. Caroline reinforces the importance of building a great character in her athletes and believes that passing values such as honesty, accountability, autonomy & respect will contribute to a solid foundation of a great character. Combining her background in psychology with the sport, Caroline also wants to use sport psychology techniques to develop mental strength.
One of her purpose in life is to impact people’s life. Her next big goal is to open an agency to bring athletes from overseas to play sports in the USA, and to fund a nonprofit organization that helps women in need.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys learning new languages, watching movies, and reading at the beach. Her favorite quote is “it seems impossible until it’s done”.
