Gabby played club volleyball growing up and in college in northern California. After college, she worked as a referee for the Northern California Volleyball Association for two seasons. Craving a deeper connection to the sport, Gabby began coaching at COAST shortly after moving to San Diego and has coached both middle school and high school teams during her first two seasons at the club. She enjoys coaching young players, focusing on fostering a love for the game, and developing a strong sense of community and trust within each team. Gabby’s favorite aspect of coaching is communicating the broader life lessons that athletes can learn from their time on the court.
Outside of coaching, Gabby is earning her Master’s Degree in Biology at San Diego State University and serving as co-chair of a nonprofit science outreach organization called MEBSA. She is an avid runner, beach volleyball player, and scuba diver.
