Raised in Tucson, AZ Katelyn began her athletic journey at the young age of 4 years old when she started kicking around a soccer ball and shooting hoops with her big brother. Katelyn started playing volleyball in 5th grade and continued to play for both high-school and club (Zona). She was an outside hitter who eventually was recruited as a Libero to Gordon College in Boston, MA. After her recruitment Katelyn decided to take a full ride academic scholarship to the University of Arizona to study Nutrition and Dietetics.
During her time off from volleyball, Katelyn fell in love the sport of boxing and continued to pursue it competitively which eventually landed her in the world of STUNTS for film and television. Katelyn is an active stunt performer in the industry and has recently decided to come back to volleyball by way of coaching here at Coast.
She is the Assistant Beach Volleyball Director here at Coast and is often found in the sand with athletes, but is excited to join the indoor family as well this coming season. When she isn’t on the big screen, Katelyn will be here inspiring and pushing the young generations to become better players and better people.
“If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, then they aren’t big enough. I’m excited to dream with these athletes as they develop their athletic career and truly fall in love with the sport of volleyball.”
