Bethany is a San Diego native who began playing volleyball in 5th grade and fell in love with the sport from that point on. She played on varsity at Mission Bay High school for all 4 years and as a freshman helped lead the Mission Bay team to their first and only league championship and CIF Finalist run in program history to date. She also played club at COAST for her last 3 years of high school, with her team earning a bid to JO’s for those three consecutive years.
After graduating, she attended the University of Oregon where she played on the club team there for all 4 years in attendance. And just continuing to play the game wasn’t enough for her so she also worked as a student manager for the NCAA Division 1 team at Oregon for 3 years. The team made NCAA tournament appearances all three 3 years she worked with the team, including their 2022 Elite 8 run.
After Graduating from Oregon in March of 2023 with a B.S in Sports Business and a psychology minor, she was hired at San Diego State University as the Director of Operations for the NCAA Women’s Volleyball team and just completed her first full season in the position.
In her free time, Bethany enjoys going to the beach for pickup beach volleyball games or just to enjoy the sun, strength training, and traveling to visit family and friends.
