Local Teams are an ideal spring board for athletes that want to go on to play on their high school teams or compete on more advanced travel team programs as they get older. Practices are spent working on individual skills with an emphasis on team play in a fun, positive environment. Local teams compete against other San Diego county teams and do not travel to regional events.
Questions:
14 & Under: Tryouts take place in September with team training beginning in November.
The local program concludes by the end of May.
Local Teams practice 8 times per full month.
Players interested in joining a local team are still required to try out.
Local Teams compete in tournaments played in San Diego County. A local competition schedule can be found at VolleyFest.
