Coaching: Girls
Tessa’s volleyball journey began in fifth grade, when she fell in love with the sport and never looked back. With her mom coaching youth volleyball and her older sister playing competitively, volleyball was always a central part of her life. She grew up in the Bay Area and competed for four years on club volleyball travel teams, specializing as a setter. Over the years, Tessa has played on various recreational and league teams and continued to stay active in the sport after moving to San Diego following her college graduation in 2023. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and plans to pursue a master’s degree in social work while continuing to coach the sport she loves.
Her coaching philosophy emphasizes helping young athletes grow into the players they aspire to become. She believes in creating a positive, encouraging environment where athletes develop both technical skills and personal confidence. Tessa is passionate about guiding players to explore their potential, develop resilience, and enjoy every step of their athletic journey.
