Born and raised in San Diego, Riley was introduced to volleyball going into her freshman year in high school. She played at Sage Creek High School and COAST Volleyball and received a scholarship to play in undergrad at Concordia Irvine. Following her Exercise Science degree at Concordia, Riley continued coaching and knew she wasn’t done playing yet, as she decided to use her 5th (Covid) year to get her MBA. She moved to O’ahu, where she played her last collegiate year of volleyball and graduated with her Masters from HPU.Â
Riley moved back to San Diego and began coaching again because she loves being involved in volleyball and helping young athletes prepare themselves for their next journey, whether that is to continue in college, or to prepare them for life. She believes the lessons we learn from sports are invaluable. Riley has gained a lot of experience throughout her volleyball career and makes it her goal to be a coach that players can look up to and learn a lot from.Â
In her free time, Riley enjoys yoga, hiking, cooking, and listening to music.
