Laney Wilson is a San Diego native. She began playing volleyball at the age of 9 right here at COAST Volleyball Club. Laney played all four years on her varsity team at Francis Parker School. As captain in her senior year, she led the Coastal League in Blocks and Aces per set which helped her team advance to the CIF Championships. That same year, Delaney was a finalist for Fall Female Athlete in San Diego County, earned the CIF Sportsmanship award, and was named Scholar Female Athlete of the year for Francis Parker. Throughout her club career, she has earned many medals at JVA, AAU’s, and various JO Qualifiers throughout the country.Â
Her love and passion for the sport led her to begin coaching for Nike Volleyball Camps while still in high school. She loves introducing new players to the game and developing strong fundamentals in young athletes. Delaney believes that volleyball teaches valuable life skills such as collaboration, work ethic, selflessness, and that pressure is a privilege. Â
She is excited to return to COAST where she first fell in love with volleyball and hopes to share that love with future players.
